Become an iPhone beta tester

TeamTalk 5 is currently being beta-tested in AppStore. Send an email with your Apple ID to contact@bearware.dk if you want to become a beta-tester.

If you don’t know your Apple ID then install the TestFlight app and find your Apple ID when you start the application.

TeamTalk 5 for iOS requires iOS 8 or later, i.e. iPhone 4S or later!

  3. I have got the email invite and currently testing it right now and it seems promising but improvements are still to be made. there is currently no way you can transmit audio without holding down the transmit button down. Other than that, not bad for a first beta.

  4. Hey, are you going to charge for the iOS client? I really hope you charge at least some money because I would really like to see you profit off of this work.

    • The iOS client will not cost money. I hope others will contribute to the development of iTeamTalk and then it would not be right if it was only me profiting from it. Two other guys helped me out with the Android client, so hopefully also some will join with the iOS client.

      I’m getting tons of feedback so it would be nice if others could tip in. Especially concerning translations and additional VoiceOver optimisations.

        • LOL I thought this would open a link in my E mail client… I am not used to going back to the windows box, as I am a mac and I phone user, but since I am here I will say I was so thrilled to finally hear Teamtalk is on ios. I am totally blind and use voiceover all day and night, and use Teamtalk to hang out with friends, burn tons of bandwidth listening to hifi stereo audio at cd quality or close to it
          Teamtalk is a great product and I am thrilled to ask for a beta and hopefully help out.

  6. I’m looking forward to using this great app! I’m a fan of TeamTalk on the PC as well. One suggestion, can you make the messages and settings able to be accessed before one signs into a server?

    • When there’s two Sundays in a week… I’ve already lost count of how many clients are currently being maintained. I think it’s six in total. A lot of work…

    • Teamtalk is very usable on the mac. What issues are you having with it? Often part of accessibility is learning the layout of an application and remembering what control does what or where to find certain controls. I think that, especially we blind users, sometimes forget that the biggest accessibility tool we have is our own brain.

  10. Over all I am very impressed with the tt app it would be nice to see implemented a toggle for voice activation and push to talk also text to speech would be useful both when users leave and join channels keep up the good work

I’ve just installed the 5.1 update and from watt I can see it works very well it wood be nice to be able to see witch users are in witch channels if you decide not to join the root also having the join channel button next to the name of the channel was slightly easier than having to click on the channel name to join it from a voice over users point of view many thanks for all your work

  14. I played a little with the transmit toggle. It would be nice if voice over let’s me know if toggle is on or not. I use teamtalk on a regular basis and do not use push to talk when on PC, since it affects the fluidity of the conversation flow.
    On another topic, slightly related, when voice activation is enabled, or transmit is toggled to stay on, will there be a mic sensitivity volume adjustment?

    • There’s not being made adjustments depending on whether you’re using PTT or voice activation. I hope to figure out how to use iOS’ echo cancellation, so it’s possible to use speaker.

  17. There is a bug when you have the client set to use the speaker instead of the earpiece. it switches back and fords between the 2 same when you have earphones plugged in.

  18. Good job so far with the app. very impressed.
    Is there any way to have the app announce when you receive messages, if the phone is in my pocket i wouldn’t hear when a message is received.
    If TeamTalk is running, I’ve noticed notification sounds do not come through!

  20. Just installed the new update it’s excellent the only changes to be made now as far as I can see are the ability to delete public servers and the adition of text to speech volume control keep up the good work grate job

  23. I have not had the chance to report on the beta until now! Awesome work! really enjoying it a lot! I second the tts volume and rate change, and maybe the ability to turn on and off noise cancellation. I’m so glad we will have tt for iOS now. Maybe this will cause some people that left tt for team speak to come back.

  24. forgot to mention if possible, It would be nice if we could have the option to use sliders to change values along with the increment and decrement buttons. If not, I can live with it as is.

  25. i’m experiencing a problem I have to have my mic gane set to 100 percent rather than the 50 percent Default setting this only happened since this last up date for me exelent job tho

  26. Great update to the beta.
    One question i have, when going to the messages tab to reply to the main chat, then switching back to the list of channels to be able to talk again, seams to always disconnect me from the server.
    Is there a way to hide the keyboard after replying to a message?

    • You can to press the “Channel” tab to return to the channel list. “Back” in the top left will take you back to the server list.

      To hide the keyboard, place finger on text field and swipe down. It’s a bit narrow I know…

    How can translate to mobile TeamTalk client?
    And in this version, the microphone is wery loudly, under normal volume is 100%.
    I’m wery happy since TeamTalk is awayable for iOS!

  31. Hi, So far I really like the iTeamTalk app, and seems to work really well. I am not sure this has been mentioned, but it would be nice if it was easier to see whether a channel had people in it without having to first tap on it. Not necesarily a list of people, but just a number like it does on the PC client. Other than that I have no suggestions at the moment, but very good work so far.

  32. a few questions if I may. Will we be able to use bluetooth headsets with teamtalk when all is said and done? Maybe you have it on the list of things to add, but is there a way we can view MOTD? and last but not least, for those of us that have tt servers, will we be able to edit server details from the app much like adding channels?     The iTeamTalk is wery good, but I have some bugs. Please try revise these! Thank’s!

    Inn last version, the sound is worse than previous in the speaker.
    In headset, and on ear speaker the sound is good.
    And on bluetooth speaker is worst…

    Other, my iPod Touch can’t switch language to Hungarian after update my client to last version. My iPhone was set the hungarian language as well.

    And I have a last bug, the iPhone is wery slow if I use TeamTalk. After I close, the speed is good.

  36. I no ive sed this before but would there be a way of deleting public survers or a way to uncheck a box like on the windows client so that they do not show thanks for all your work exelent job

  37. I have just installed the new release very good job I like the idea of having sliders for audio adjustment in stead of buttons and I noticed that the text to speech volume isn’t as loud as before thanks once again

  39. Some friends of mine think they may have found a bug. apparently when a call is received, you are logged out but when they reconnect, there mics are muted.

  40. The app seems to lock up with me upon trying to connect to a server. Only way to get out of it is to reset my phone. I have tried removing and reinstalling the app but still not working. Not sure where to go from here…. by locking up I mean screen becomes unresponsive and voiceover freezes.

  41. ok. after doing some more testing with this, I have figured out that when I connect to a server without a headset plugged in I loose all sounds. When I plug back in I get sound back. Testing with latest version.

  42. in case some one is having a bad day have a good laugh at my expense! lol! turns out I just didn’t have the speaker volume turned up on the phone while a headset was not plugged in! Can you say… brain fart? hahahahaha I feel like a dork! False alarm!

  44. I’v just downloaded the latest tt update.
    I think there is a problem when flicking through the headings list in preferences with voiceover.
    It works for the first couple of headings, then it seems to freez and not let you flick through the rest.

    however, the headings list in preferences is still not working properly when using voiceover. Keep up the good work.

  51. I resolved my volume issue it seems when I connect my headset after using the I phone speaker it doesn’t automatically toggle back to head set you have to do so manually keep up the good work

  53. oops! I thought we were done with the beta so I installed the version from the app store. Then I received the E-mail stating if we kept the beta version we could get new features before everyone else! I tried to go back in to test flight to redownload the beta but could not. Have now sent an E-mail! Don’t do what I did! lol!
